Merging 2 airlines using Agile methodology…

…AKA a project manager’s wet dream.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Agile methodologies, think about them as a work framework that focuses more on people than on tools or processes. During the last years, more and more software companies have been incorporating them in an attempt to reduce risks and increase predictability. For practical purposes, instead of complex charts they use lots of Post-it notes. Trust me, it works.

However, other industries have also been experimenting with this new trend, adapting it to their needs. The most extreme example I can remember took place in 2008, after Delta and Northwest announced their merger.
